A look back with founder Thomas Gregory
Preserving places and peace of mind
I used to work cable repair for Gregory, and one thing we worked on a lot was emergency lines. Back in the day, they’d get cut. There were days we had a lot of cut copper cables and a lot of cut fiber optic cables. There were even many days I’d get home from work, get in the shower and then turn around and go right back to work!

One year Bob and Lisa were passing out Christmas bonuses. My daddy and his crew were working in the middle of nowhere, so they drove to them. Daddy said Bob jumped right out of the truck and landed in the mud to bring them donuts and their bonuses. Lisa stayed up on the step rail and waved, but then she had to smell that stinky mud all the way back to Columbia!

I came to work for Gregory Electric in 1993 to join Bob Livingston in a new adventure. I started working with Business Development and moved on to the Utility area and gradually worked throughout the company. It has been a great experience, and I have worked with some fantastic people over the years. My Gregory family is a staple in my world, and I love coming to work at the Big G.
